<content type="html">James, thanks for organising the meet-up, it was great to meet everyone last night. I mentioned my ShowMeDo tutorial site, those that are interested can see our new Ruby video collection here:
http://showmedo.com/videos/ruby

Contrast that with our 70+ Python videos:
http://showmedo.com/videos/python
and I can see that I have some promo work to do in the Ruby camp - but I'd love to see the Ruby collection grow! There was clearly a strong interest in free Rails tutorial videos when I asked last night.

If we can help promote anyone's Ruby project through ShowMeDo, we host for free (as long as the video is a tutorial showing you how to do something useful) and we'll help to spread the word. Dan is interested in hosting a video about his Tails (http://tailshq.com/), hopefully he's the first of a whole bunch.

Cheers, I'm look forward to the next event :-)

<content type="html">@Chris, yeah it was good and excellent turnout. A couple of things for me to do; Get a mail list or forum up, get a membership list (probably 2 birds one stone), book a regular slot (maybe half hour later to give people time to get there) and update the site with info from Dom's session.

Thanks again to Dom and Jay for their presentations.</content> </entry>

<content type="html">Thanks for organising last night James -- an excellent turnout for a first meet-up! Thanks to Jay and Dom as well for the presentations.

As we talked about last night, it'd be great to get some kind of forum/mailing list going. I know Brighton already has its fair share of email digests, but it'd be a great way to consolidate our coastal Ruby crowd.

Looking forward to the next one!
